Business Integrity.

Peter Muth is widely known as
a fair competitor, caring employer and donor to many community
causes. Pete is proof that an ethical businessperson can be
very successful. He has believed in providing good products
at a fair price with exceptional customer service. He believed
in family and hard work. He has never hesitated to shake a
staff’s greasy hand and ask how the wife and kids are
doing. Many staff have worked 20+ years because they like
working for ORCO and the Muth family.
Competitors who were planning to retire or sell their businesses
often gave Peter the first opportunity to buy them out. They
respected Peter’s integrity and knew that he would continue
to grow the business and treat their staff well. |
When the Boys & Girls Club of Stanton needed bigger
and better facilities Peter and another entrepreneur Bob Pralle
spent two years personally knocking on every business door in Stanton
and the local area to ask for pledges or in-kind donations. ORCO
donated all the block. The beautiful, new club center was dedicated
in 1982. Stanton today still has one of the lowest family incomes
of Orange County. But the juvenile crime rate went from being one
of the worst to one of the best in the county, due in no small part
to the Boys & Girls Club being able to reach more youth at the
new club center. |
